Secret Life of the American Teenager
ABC Family, Spring 2009

Secret Life is Back!

The hit teen pregnancy drama, Secret Life of the American Teenager is returning to ABC Family – and not a moment too soon. Amy is more than halfway through her pregnancy now and still doesn’t know what she’s going to do. She and Ben are still together, but Ricky (the father of the baby) is definitely in the picture too. Things are tough for Amy at home (her parents are getting divorced) and school has its own set of challenges too. Grace is still committed to abstinence but she’s falling for Ricky, and Adrian is in the mix as well. Tune in tonight for the first episode of season 2 and see what happens next.

And after the show, talk to your teens about what they’ve seen. Use our discussion guide to explore some of the issues brought up by the show and get more information on Secret Life from the ABC Family webpage.

"One Life to Live's" Starr and Cole
(Kristen Alderson and Brandon Buddy)

It's been 9 months since 16-year-old Starr Manning had sex with her boyfriend Cole Thornhart for the first time and found out she was pregnant.

This week it all comes to an end. Be sure to tune into “One Life to Live” to find out what kind of twists and turns lie ahead.  But in the meantime, catch up with Kristen Alderson who plays Starr. She sat down for an exclusive interview with us to talk about her character, her most memorable experiences, the fan reaction to the story, and more.

Kristen is also blogging about her experience in this role – the good and the bad – at www.onelifetolive.com

This storyline, its related blog posts, media coverage and nationally televised public service announcements are all part of The National Campaign to Prevent Teen & Unplanned Pregnancy’s partnership with ABC Daytime.  Working with the show to provide viewers with important information about teen pregnancy is just one of the ways the Campaign is reaching out to teens and parents with messages about sex, prevention, and consequences.
